You can prepare your child a recipe for children with very simple and inexpensive ingredients. But you can improve it by giving it an original and attractive look, like with these roasted tomatoes stuffed with meat and vegetables.

The combination of minced meat and tomato is a safe bet for children, for example in spaghetti Bolognese, but you can also make a different and very healthy dish that will be a success and very good for their diet.

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 400 gr. minced meat
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 200 gr. grated cheese
  • Oil
  • Pepper
  • Salt

1. Wash the tomatoes well and cut them in half. Empty the pulp of the tomato with a spoon and reserve them.

2. Wash vegetables well. Peel and chop the carrot, also cut the pepper and onion very finely.

3. Put a drizzle of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion, poach until transparent and add the carrot. Fry for 5 minutes and add the pepper, meat and tomato pulp.

4. Preheat the oven to 180º. Sauté everything together for a few minutes, add salt and pepper. Take out and fill the tomatoes with this mixture, sprinkle with grated cheese.

5. Bake about 15 minutes at 180ºC, until the cheese is gratinated. Take out and serve.
